【摘要】:Thispracticeisusefulforpreparingextractsfromfiredebrisforlateranalysisbygaschromatography,GC/MS,orGC/IR.Thisisaverysensitiveseparationprocedure,capableofisolatingquantitiessmallerthan0.1x03BC;Lofignitableliquidresiduefromasample.4.2.1Actualrecoverywillvary,dependingonseveralfactors,includingadsorptiontemperature,containersize,andcompetitionfromthesamplematrix.x201C;Thisisapotentiallydestructivetechnique.x201D;Portionsofthesamplesubjectedtothisproceduremaynotbesuitableforre-sampling.Therefore,aportionofthesampleextractshouldbesavedforpotentialfutureanalysis.ConsiderusingpassiveheadspaceconcentrationasdescribedinPracticeE1412.1.1Thispracticedescribestheprocedureforseparationofsmallquantitiesofignitableliquidresiduesfromfiredebrissamplesusingtheabsorption/elutionmethodofheadspaceconcentration.1.2Bothpositiveandnegativepressuresystemsaredescribed.1.3Whilethispracticeissuitableforsuccessfullyextractingignitableliquidresiduesovertheentirerangeofconcentration,theheadspaceconcentrationmethodsarebestusedwhenahighlevelofsensitivityisrequiredduetoaverylowconcentrationofignitableliquidresiduesinthesample.1.4AlternateseparationandconcentrationproceduresarelistedinSection2.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
